Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 30th August 2026
1. Who we are
Miranda Spencer-Hope, trading as your_ (registered trading name: Your Success), is a sole trader based in England. These Terms and Conditions apply to our website, and to any live sessions, 1:1 tuition, or digital products you book or purchase from us
Contact: miranda@yoursuccess.education
Our Privacy Policy and Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy form part of these Terms.
2. Definitions
"Site" means our website.
"Live Sessions" means our scheduled group tuition sessions.
"1:1 Tuition" means individual, one-to-one tutoring sessions.
"Digital Products" means revision notes, flashcards, predicted papers, and similar downloadable resources.
"Customer" means the person who books or pays for our services (usually a parent or guardian).
"Student" means the person who receives tuition, who may be the Customer or someone the Customer books on behalf of (e.g. their child).
3. Eligibility
Our Live Sessions and 1:1 Tuition are designed for GCSE Year 10 and Year 11 students, most of whom are under 18.
If you are under 18, you may only use our services with the consent of a parent or guardian, who will act as the Customer responsible for booking and payment.
4. Our services
We offer:
Live group sessions — weekly sessions covering GCSE science (AQA, combined and separate science, higher tier), sold as term packages;
1:1 tuition — individual sessions booked separately;
Digital products — revision notes, flashcards, and predicted papers, sold individually.
5. Booking and payment
Payment is required at the time of booking, via our third-party payment provider (Squarespace Payments). By booking, you agree to us and our payment provider processing the payment for the service or product booked.
6. Cancellations and refunds — 1:1 Tuition
If you need to cancel or move a 1:1 session, we will first try to reschedule it for another day that week.
If a session cannot be rescheduled and you give less than 12 hours' notice, the session will be charged in full.
If more than 12 hours' notice is given and the session cannot be rearranged, you will be refunded.
7. Cancellations and refunds — Live Sessions (term packages)
If you cancel partway through a term package, you will be refunded for the value of any sessions you have not yet attended, minus a small administration fee of up to £10.
No refund is given for sessions that have already taken place or been delivered.
8. Minimum numbers for Live Sessions
Live Sessions require a minimum number of students to run. If this minimum is not met, it is at Miranda's discretion whether the session runs as planned, is combined with another group of a similar level (for example, combining combined and separate science groups), or is cancelled with a full refund.
9. Digital Products
Digital Products are delivered electronically. Due to their nature, they are not eligible for refund once accessed or downloaded, except where the product is faulty or materially different from its description.
You must not share, resell, or redistribute any Digital Product. These are licensed for your personal use only.
10. Session recording
Live Sessions are recorded, for learning and safeguarding purposes. 1:1 Tuition is not recorded; instead, AI note-taking software is used to generate a written record of the session. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
11. Conduct during sessions
We want every session to be a safe, supportive space. Bullying, harassment, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated during Live Sessions and may result in a student being removed from the session without refund.
12. No guarantee of academic outcomes
We do not guarantee that any student will achieve a particular grade or outcome as a result of using our services. Academic results depend on many factors beyond our control, including a student's own effort and circumstances.
13. Intellectual property
All content we provide — including session materials, revision notes, flashcards, predicted papers, videos, and branding — is our intellectual property. You may use it for your own personal study only. You must not copy, share, reproduce, or redistribute it without our written permission.
14. Human-made content
Everything we produce is created by Miranda — intellectually and creatively. We may use AI tools to support brainstorming, templates, or minor tweaks, but our teaching content, exam analysis, and materials are always genuinely human-made, never AI-generated.
15. Disclaimers
We take reasonable care to keep our website and services running smoothly but cannot guarantee they will always be available, secure, or error-free.
The information on our website, in our marketing, and in our content is for informational and educational purposes only and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional advice (including medical, legal, or specific academic guidance from a student's own school).
16. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to the above, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, arising from your use of our services.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after any changes means you accept the updated Terms.
